Dr Thuy graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Science from the University of Melbourne in 2003. She worked as a general dentist in a private practice in Western Sydney and as a resident dental officer at Westmead Centre for Oral Health. She commenced specialist training in 2007 at the University of Sydney, with her research focused on the oral health of Vietnamese preschool aged children. She graduated with a Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (Paediatric Dentistry) in 2010 and commenced part-time private practice in the same year.
Between 2010 and 2012, she was also appointed as a Senior Registrar in Paediatric Dentistry at Westmead Centre for Oral Health, which encompassed dental care for children in special schools and hospices. She was also a clinical tutor and lecturer at the University of Sydney.
Dr Thuy and Dr Susan collaborated in 2011 to establish St George Paediatric Dental Specialists. Dr Thuy’s area of interest includes dental care for children with special needs and management of dental trauma. She is also fluent in Vietnamese.
On her days off, Dr Thuy is busy with her two active boys and developing her cooking/baking skills.
